Young English Garden Designs

Young English Garden Designs was established in 2003 and originally located in a two story home on the corner of Kishacoquillas and Trella Street, Belleville, Pa.  This was an ideal location with close proximity to the popular Wednesday produce and livestock market.

Walking into the shop was truly like walking into an English Garden.  Unique floral designs adorned the walls and tables, floral scents wafted the rooms, and a spiritual sense transcended the entire house.

The tea room was everyone’s favorite with tables and chairs loaded with bone china teapots, teacups, and tea accessories.  Victorian and shabby chiche decor, along with floral stems and greenery were spread throughout the store. The kitchen contained gourmet foods, a large selection of tea, and other kitchen gadgets.  The fireplace mantel, in the check-out area, was always adorned in seasonal florals.  Even the front porch beckoned visitors with a relaxing porch swing.

After two years, family commitments along with a proposed opportunity for the artisans co-op lead Gail in a new direction.  She was one of the original member of the Dairyland Gift Shop co-op started five years ago.  The merchandise lines she now carries are an abbreviated version of what she had in her Belleville store.  She has drifted from silk floral design and is now specializing in jewelry, especially her hand designed line, J. Roche.
